Martha
General Manager and Level 3 Rope Access Technician Martha Richardson
With over 8 years of rope access experience, Martha joined the Lyon Tech team in April of 2023. After spending the majority of her career in the petrochemical industry, Martha was eager to branch out and try something new. Martha started her first ever wind season with us, leading an exciting all-female crew for the summer. When autumn came around, Martha joined our management team as General Manager. Her expertise in a Technical Authority role at a previous company was invaluable to our team and she transitioned into the role seamlessly. When Martha isn’t in the field, she’s ensuring smooth implementation and maintenance of our management system, dispatching, onboarding and assisting with logistics. Always open to new connections, you can reach out to her whatever your need. If she doesn’t have the answer she won’t stop until she gets it!
Brittany
Managing Director and Level 3 Rope Access Technician Brittany Newell
Jumping into the rope access world about 6 years ago, Brittany got her rope access certification to further supplement her inspection career. With tickets in NDT and visual inspection, rope access provided her the opportunity to expand her capabilities by completing inspections in hard-to-reach areas. Brittany has an extensive health and safety background as well as accounting and administration. There’s not much Brittany can’t do! Brittany co-founded Lyon Technical Access in 2018 and was able to combine all her past experience and expertise to start a one stop shop. Her hard work and dedication to the company has been outstanding and should be an example to field technicians everywhere.

Chris
Technical Manager and Level 3 Rope Access Technician Chris Giatti
Chris began his career in rope access doing building maintenance and window cleaning. From there, he transitioned into Confined Space Rescue, where he excelled in his position as Lead Rescuer. Ultimately, he missed climbing ropes and found his way to Lyon Technical Access where he joined up for his first season of wind turbine work. An incredibly fast learner, Chris’ hard work led to him rapidly climbing to his current certification as a Level 2 Blade Repair Technician. Chris absorbs knowledge like no other and loves being the one on blade doing hands on work no matter how hard the sun is beating. Chris is passionate about mentoring junior technicians and ensuring they are taught the right way to produce the best possible final products. Chris’ ability to retain knowledge has also extended into the world of rope access equipment. In October of 2023, Chris took on the role of Technical Manager for Lyon Technical Access, ensuring that all of our gear is maintained to the highest standards. Chris has worked hard to get our shop organized into the most efficient state, ensuring all gear is inspected and maintained and that we never have to go without. He somehow seems to know just about every piece of gear on the market, who makes it, and where it’s made. If you ever have a gear question, he’s certainly the one to ask!
